EMR Industrial Services Branch Operations Manager
Brian Marshall joined the EMR team in February 2024 as the operations manager of our 20-person Industrial services team in Baltimore City. EMR’s industrial services division offers complete repair services for electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and associated equipment as well as electronic and electrical controls. This electrical apparatus service center, in operation for over 60 years, has a full-service machine shop capable of in-shop and in-field machine work and dynamic balancing. This work was the backbone of EMR historically and remains a vital part of the offerings.
Brian began his career in the automotive industry, where he spent 17 years working his way up the ranks from a sales consultant to a general manager, working for the largest privately held automotive group in the US. In 2017, Brian switched to the HVAC industry prior to joining EMR in February 2024. As a previous general manager and HVAC sales expert, Brian has a diverse and dynamic background in the financial and customer service industries. He has developed strong skills in sales, team management and leadership. Brian is a hands-on individual and enjoys completing projects himself. From building things around his home and many DIY projects, tools are no stranger to Brian’s life. “I enjoy the task of completing a project and knowing it was done right,” said Brian.
“What really appealed to me about EMR was the history. I found it amazing the tenure of some of the employees, many being 20 + years and a few at 50+ years. I wanted to be part of that, while also helping them adapt to current and future opportunities. With so many employees with such long tenures, I knew EMR would be great place to work!”
Outside of EMR, Brian is a married father with two children. He is a Baltimore County resident and very active in his community, where he and his wife volunteer their time coaching their children’s sports teams. Brian and his family enjoy spending time outdoors playing basketball, swimming year-round, softball, mountain biking, snowboarding, baseball, hiking and camping.
