Motor and Generator Parts

We house a large stock of carbon brushes and bearings, and can fabricate motor couplings and coils to fit your particular applications.

Bearings

• Babbit Bearings – EMR maintains an inventory of reconditioned/rebabbitted bearings
• Sleeve Bearings – EMR can supply custom sleeve bearings to replace obsolete bearings

Carbon Brushes

EMR can identify and supply replacements hoist motor and generator carbon brushes manufactured by ACI, Carbone, Helwig, and National Carbon. 

Motor Couplings

EMR stocks both Dodge coupling poly disc, to fit both 8″ and 10″ flexible couplings, and rubber bushings to fit Otis and Dover machines.

Coils

• Brake Coils – In-shop capabilities allow us to expedite the manufacturing process (rewind) of elevator brake coils for high priority repair jobs or pre-manufacture, and schedule delivery of coils for less time-sensitive modernization projects.
• Field Coils – In-shop automated capabilities allow us to expedite the manufacturing process (rewind) of elevator field coils for high priority repair jobs or pre-manufacture field coils, and schedule extended delivery for less time-sensitive modernization projects. Our winding information database often allows us to wind coils based on nameplate data, eliminating the time and cost to send sample coils.
